Forget your body hang ups… as UK ladies most confident between the sheets
While us women are always worrying about our ‘wobbly bits’ – we seems we forget all our misgivings when it comes to getting between the sheets. Compared to our European counterparts, British ladies are the most confident in bed, far more interested in how good it feels (72%) and how fit their partner looks (57%) than how they themselves look (43%) or how they’re doing in the sack (also 43%).
Despite this sexual revolution, some of our standard British traits still remain. We tend to worry more about the amount of noise we are making, instead of whether we are enjoying ourselves or not! And despite our success rate in the bedroom, the French are still having more sex than us (8.2 vs. 6.5 times a month respectively).
These findings accompany the launch of Mates SKYN. Designed to revolutionise sex with a condom, it’s the closest thing to wearing nothing because of a new, non latex material called Sensoprene. But be warned, the research also found that we may have to watch out for unfortunate videos of ourselves ending up on the web. A quarter of men and women have recorded themselves doing the deed with their mobile phone and half of British adults under 30 have sent an explicit picture with their phone (50%).

A new study released as part of the Martini ‘Stay Beautiful’ campaign suggests an emerging trend amongst women who enjoy a drink but want to be able to maintain their style & sophistication throughout the evening.
This new wave of women say they want to take control of their drinking habits and have rejected the binge drinking culture instead aspiring to embrace a more controlled and confident approach to socialising whether on a night out with the girls or entertaining clients during this year’s Christmas party season.
This noticeable shift in attitude to drinking has also been linked to women’s desire to maintain their looks and their admittance that they’re ‘always conscious’ of their behaviour and appearance on a night out.

Christmas comes just once a year but shopping for it can be a somewhat lengthier process. For many it will involve tackling the Circus which is Oxford Street in a bid to find the best in festive fashion, which can be enough to drain the festive cheer out of even the most seasoned of shoppers. And with new research uncovering that women rely heavily on shopping as a key form of self-pampering do we need to adjust the way we approach this most favourite of pastimes? And more importantly where we choose to do it…
The research released this week examines the power of shopping as a source of everyday happiness for women with over half (53 per cent) saying it’s the one form of self-pampering they could not live without.
Retail therapy tops the table as the most indulged in activity, with 51 per cent saying it’s the only thing that makes them feel good about themselves. Our twenties appear to be the decade of indulgence with more than half (52 per cent) claiming it is the age at which they spend most time pampering themselves. Somewhat disappointingly, when we reach our forties we tend to give up – only six per cent of the women surveyed said they spend time and money on any form of self-indulgence.
Celebrity stylist, Bradley Taylor, added:
“A spot of self-pampering is a necessity, especially in the busy and stressful run up to Christmas. As the research highlights, an overwhelming 43 per cent of women claim that if they don’t feel good about the way they look and feel, they struggle to enjoy themselves.
