She’s the ethereally beautiful granddaughter of the writer, Roald Dahl, who’s managed to build a career for herself as a model and writer without playing on her family connections.  In a world of  Z list starlets emerging from cars without knickers in order to gain publicity, she’s always maintained an almost old fashioned mystique and air of class.  A true star.

Nicole Kidman

A frizzy - haired Australian girl who’s become one of the most beautiful woman in the world and a real icon.  She’s got genuine talent - a rare thing in the days of the reality TV ’star’.   Her dignity and grace following her divorce from Tom Cruise was an inspiration to women all over the world.

Johnny Borrell

I know the Razorlight front man gets a bad press but anyone who can write songs as sublime as ‘America’ and ‘Los Angeles Waltz’ and look that good shirtless is fine by me.  I do believe that he genuinely wants to make the world a better place, hence his involvement with campaigns like The Big Ask.
 

Lucy Lui

Fiercely intelligent, (she has a Batchelor of Science in Asian Languages and Cultures), the daughter of Chinese immigrant parents did not speak English until she was five years old.  She’s carved out a niche for herself playing strong, feisty women but is also a respected producer, painter and photographer.  In her role as a UNICEF Ambassador she brings insight and intelligence to the situations she’s highlighting without using it as an opportunity for self promotion.

Beautiful and sexy - the singer, model, actress and business woman comes across as someone you’d love to have as your best friend not as someone who’d steal your boyfriend.  I hope she finds happiness in her love life soon.

In just over ten years, the Harry Potter author has risen from unemployed single mother to one of the richest women in the world and the most successful writer ever, without succoming to the lures of fame and fortune.  I want to be her.

What is it with international pop princesses and waitressing?  

Kylie Minogue was recently mistaken for a waitress by an elderly lady at a hotel in Wales where the star was filming scenes for her appearance in Doctor Who.  The old dear asked her whether it was too late for a cup of tea.  Kylie saw the funny side and just laughed then carried on to the film set.  It’s not known whether the old lady got her cup of tea.

Well, does she look like she’d make you a nice cup of tea?

 This revelation comes hot on the heels of the news that Britney Spears applied for a job as a waitress.  What’s next?  Lindsay Lohan serving pizzas?  …Actually, that’s probably all that’s left for Lindsay…

Kylie Minogue appeared in public for the the 1st time since her split with Oliver Martinez.  She launched her very own exhibition at the prestigious V&A Museum in London and looked absolutely stunning in a purple Dolce & Gabanna frock.  Kylie spoke briefly about Martinez saying, “it’s all good” and that he had “wished her the best for tonight”.  Her spokesman said that she, “was in great spirits” and that, “she will soon resume work on her new album”.  Celebrity friends such as Dita Von Teese and Manolo Blahnik showed up as well as all of Kylie’s loyal fans. 

The exhibition contains everything from the dungarees she wore as Charlene in Australian soap Neighbours to those famous gold hotpants (that cost 50p from a market stall) she wore in ’spinning around’ that effectively relaunched her career

Kylie Minogue and her French actor boyfriend Olivier Martinez have issued a joint statement to confirm they are in fact broken up:

“Olivier Martinez and Kylie Minogue have officially confirmed that they are no longer a couple.

The news of the break up comes in the wake of rumours that Olivier had been trying to force breast cancer survivor Kylie’s hand into initiating the break up by cheating on her. Israeli model Sarai Givati at been seen visiting Martinez at his hotel room in Paris and Lost’s Michelle Rodriguez was seen leaving his hotel room at 9.40am the next morning after having dinner with him the previous night. Olivier was rumoured to be having an affair with Givati in December which almost caused the two to split back then. He was also seen kissing Rodriguez in Hollywood 2 years ago but has denied ever having a relationship with her. Sources close to Martinez had said:

“They’re at loggerheads”

After her successful battle with cancer she had described Martinez as the:

“most honourable man I have ever met”.

Kylie has come out with a strong denial that she and actor boyfriend Olivier Martinez are finished after photographs appeared in weekend newspapers of him strolling through Paris with a young Israeli beauty.

The rumours were  first circulated when Martinez didnt show up for the first night of Kylies comeback tour in her native Austrailia.

Rubbishing the rumours a spokeswoman for the pair said:   ”Kylie and Ollie are very much still together - and very happy. Ollie has been in Paris doing post-production of a movie.”

Kylie Minogue is back on track after battling cancer, and is set to play her Showgirl tour in London on the 2nd and 3rd of January. Tickets for the event will go on sale soon (21st of July). On a recent interview on English and Irish channel SKY One she said

“I’m as prepared as I can be but I’m not sure that I’ll be able to do everything that I did before - not that I do an enormous amount of jumping all over the stage but quick changes are really stressful,” she admitted in an interview with Cat Deeley on Sky One. “There’s a whole other world backstage that happens - six times throughout the show. So I said, ‘You know what, maybe we won’t have quick changes, we’ll have slow changes. And maybe even a little chair’.”
