Kate’s £5 million deal with Topshop to produce her own line is causing unrest among designers who feel that celebrities are cashing in on their territory - this summer alone Kate Moss, Lily Allen and Madonna will all have their own collections on the high street.
British designer Jeff Bank is the latest to criticise this trend:
“Can Kate sharpen a pencil or draw a matchstick man? I wouldn’t put money on it,” the disgruntled designer - who recently created clothes for London’s 2012 Olympic bid - said. “I’ll bet [Kate Moss] just grabbed one of her many Prada bags, rifled through her wardrobe … and turned up at TopShop’s head office in Oxford Street for a quick hour’s briefing with the in-house designers and buying staff.”
TopShop has been quick of the mark to respond to this latest criticism:
“Kate Moss has had a huge input in the range at every level, from the design concept of the garments to the fitting and the logo. The fashion industry may be a different place to one Jeff Banks is used to. Top designers like John Galliano don’t cut patterns, they have pattern cutters. That’s the industry.”

Kate’s picked up a fat £3 million paycheck from the owner of TopShop, Philip Greene to ‘design’ her new collection. New York critics though have already panned her attempts as blatent plagirism: The New York Post labelled it “DupliKate”, saying: “It looks like Kate copying a lot of other people’s stuff Kate’s worn before”. From these pictures from today’s Daily Mail, their assesment seems to be on the money, it looks like she just handed some pieces of her wardrobe into Topshop and gave them licence to copy them.

Kate Moss had a bit of a crap weekend. Saturday night she had Petey were kicked to the back of the queue of The Wardour Club in Soho, London
“Kate was fuming and told the people on the door to let Pete in right away. But they said because he’d been rude to them he’d have to wait his turn. They told her no amount of pleading would make any difference. It was really embarrassing.”Pete was meant to be performing at the club with Amy Winehouse, but it had to be cancelled when he refused to queue up.
After Kate finally managed to get in, British Indie Rave rockers Kasabian threw an ice-cube at the supermodel’s head (I love this stuff, you couldn’t make it up)
She wailed: “That really f***ing hurt, why did he do that?” before stomping out of the back exit and joining Pete, who was waiting in a car outside.
To top it all off, New York fashion critics have been busy ripping shreads out of Kate’s new colection for Topshop
The New York magazine dubbed her range a “snore”. And the New York Post labelled it “DupliKate”, saying: “It looks like Kate copying a lot of other people’s stuff Kate’s worn before.”
It’s still going to sell like hotcakes but it will be a blow to the fashionita’s iconic status that America isn’t jumping on the Kate bandwagon

Last night, Pete performed a solo gig at the Hackney Empire in east London and the Babyshambles lead singer dedicated the track, “KP Nuts” to Kate, “Yes, to my beautiful fiancee”. Kate also jumped on stage to perform her two lines on La Belle Et La Bete wearing a ring on her engagement finger. Bless, hopefully they’ll live in coked out wedded bliss. Kate Moss yesterday opened up in Britain’s Sunday Times Style Magazine giving us an insight into her life or at least what she thinks of it.
Probably the world’s mst famous supermodel at the moment, Kate revealed that she thinks she lives her life in a normal way:
“”They portray me as all these crazy things and I’m so not like that. I don’t have entourages, I’m as normal as you can get in this lifestyle.” She pauses perhaps realising that flying to the Caribean for work and being followed everywehre by a herd of paparazzi is nowhere near normal for most of us. “ I suppose. I try to be. I like to muck in, if I can do something myself, I’ll do it.” “
Kate also disclosed some more about her soon no be released Topshop collection:
The Kate Moss line will be a year round collection that will change with the seasons but have new pieces added all the time. There are fantastic evening dresses that will come in limited editions of 100 or 200, vintage-style day dresses in pretty prints, a jacket made of butter soft leather, roc chick T-shirts and lots of vairations on the waistcoat…There are jeans, too…branded with little embroidered swallows, hearts and stars - copies of her rela tattos - and a little swallow tage on the belt loop that can also be used as a bracelet.
“It was a bit eclectic - just pieces I’d worn that I would love for spring/summer. The next one will be more like a story, a collection. I’m really excited about going out and finding things - not just taking stuff from my closet as it is not, but what my dream closet would be”
The Croydon supermodel also explained why she has become such a trend setter above all others:
In LA, she’ll cuise around in the car, looking for second hand shops. “I love going through and finding treasures. I see things other people don’t, sometimes, - it’s very random, but I have this…radar. I’ll think, “Mmm, I fancy wearing a legging’ and then, all of a sudden on the runways, it’s all leggings. And it’s not like we’ve taked. You just know, i’ts like a collective consciousness. It’s weird. You can’t explain it at all”.
Kate was mostly quite in this rare interview about crackhead boyfriend Pete Doherty but did reveal that he can’t always recognise his famous girlfriend in her shoots and somtimes gets her mxied up with underage Asian girls, you couldn’t make this stuff up:
“It’s like a joke now. Yesterday, in the pub, we were going through a Sunday magazine and playing a game of, ‘Ooh, that’s me! And that’s me again!’ Because Pete will go, ‘Is that you?’ about any model in a magazine. And I’m like, ‘No, she’s Chinese.’ ‘Is that you?’ ‘No. She’s 12.’ It’s quite funny.”

This is Irina Lazareanu and if you haven’t heard of her yet, you soon will. Kate Moss has chosen Irina to be the face of her new eagerly awaited new Topshop collection. In a spot of nepotism, Irina was the drummer of Kate’s crack loving boyfrined Pete Doherty in his band, Babyshambles. Kate chose her to model in the issue of French Vogue she guest edited in 2005. Showing an eye for talent, Irina went on to become a successful model in her own right and has done campaigns for Chanel, Mulbery and Hugo Boss amongst others since then. A source at British Vogue says:
Kate thinks she’s got a very unique, rock-chick look,” says our source. “She really felt that Irina embodies the feel of her TopShop range - her porcelain skin, her big eyes under her thick Sixties fringe - it was a look Kate was impressed with.”

Hopefully Kate didn’t leave daughter Lila in the care of boyfriend Pete Doherty. The Libertines frontman very openly admitted to the NY Daily News that he’s still on crack:
“I always stumble back on it sooner or later, even if it’s for half an hour a day.”Pete reportedly also pulled out a crack pipe and lit up during the interview. He also admitted that he previously prostituted himself for drugs, “There was no shame, because I kind of knew they were just lonely p***ed-up old queens. And £20 was a lot of money”.
I have no problem with Kate being a tool and dating Pete Doherty but leaving her little daughter to play with a crack addict is retarded.

Kate Moss and Pete Doherty made an appearance at the NME Awards in Hammersmith Palais in London last night. However their partying was cut shot by a security guard. NME.com report that Rock’s odd couple were,
“trying to get into the premises’ toilets but they were removed by the bouncers and told to go back to their table. Later they were both caught in a dark alleyway at the back of the building. So we got their own security guards to put them in a car and take them home.” He added there had also been an earlier incident when Doherty was stopped from taking a spoon from his table. According to the source, the couple were removed from the premises at 8.30pm, before Moss could present Primal Scream with their Godlike Genius award as scheduled.
Seriously what does Kate Moss see in a guy who attempts having conversations with spoons and attempts to get penguins high. Issues.
Kate took away Sexiest Female while Pete’s Band Babyshambles lost out for Best British Band and Best Live Band.

Kate Moss is apparently none too happy with her junkie boyfriend, Pete Doherty after seeing the report in The Sun yesterday which showed Pete shooting up in Thailand. The Daily Telegraph reports today that a source close to Kate says:
“Kate is understandably livid about these pictures. That they were taken just two days after their special commitment ceremony simply adds insult to injury. Of course Kate still loves Pete and vice-versa but she’s a clever woman and knows that she has got to put her career first. Kate needs to start looking after herself - or at least be seen to be doing so - and has been strongly advised to take some time off from Pete. This means not getting herself photographed with him and certainly no raucous nights out - at least until the fuss has all died down a bit.”
Kate’s relationship with Pete is starting to take its toll on her and is even affecting her modelling career. Rimmel are rumoured to be on the verge of dumping her because her party lifestyle has left her face looking too ‘old’.
These latest picture of Pete shooting up cocaine come not even a year after he pleaded guilty to seven charges of drug possession and was sentenced leniently to a year of rehabilitation.
Peter Stoker, from the National Drugs Prevention Alliance is quoted in The Telegraph:
“Peter Doherty clearly has his own problems but what concerns us more is that he’s encouraging other people to develop their own drug problems in the future and that can’t be right.
“He should have been required by the courts to attend residential rehab - not for just a few weeks but for several months - to help him live his life more healthily and less destructively”

Kate Moss is currently supporting her boyfriend Pete Doherty through another stint in rehab. But VIPglamour wonders whether today’s edition of The Sun will have any impact on that. They have video of Pete injecting himself in a ‘grubby Thai hostel’ while on the phone to the supermodel telling her he is ‘fine’. When Kate asks him what he’s doing he replies, “What’s the matter? I love you”. The video was made just 2 days after the couple’s alleged Buddist bleessing on New Year’s in Phuket, Thailand.
In the video Pete is shown hanging out with Jess Lea, 21 and two of her friends.
In what could only be a devasting blow to Kate when she hears it and should be the last straw if she has any respect, Jess asks Pete if the rumours he married Kate were trust. He replies:
“No, I love her but I wouldn’t marry her if she was the last woman on Earth. She’s too paranoid.”
Pete is seen injecting coke “at least 3 times between 1.30 am and 4am.
Jess said to the The Sun:
“It was a bit mind-blowing. He asked us if we minded. Initially we were like, ‘OK, go for it’, but as time went on we began to get nervous.”
When Jess and her friends eventually got him downstairs Pete asked reception where he could score some heroin, and then asked the taxi driver where he could get some drugs.
Jess said that then she,
“I sent Kate a text reading, ‘Dropped Peter off at the Bob Marley café. He’s a bit out of sorts’. That’s the last we saw of him.”

Kate Moss and her cokehead boyfriend Pete Doherty have decided to take a break away together, to rehab, how sweet. The Sun reports that Kate and Pete checked into the Capio Nightingale Hospital in London together. The staff cleared a 12 place until for the two, who checked in using false names. A source states:
“They arrived together and will be supporting each other…They looked very much a couple as they came in and she is clearly worried about him.”Kate is expected to join the Babyshambles front man in his therapy sessions.
