With four films slated in 2012, it’s looking like the Year of Ewan McGregor. GQ chatted with impossibly likable star of Haywire about fatherhood, fantasies, and the next twelve months. Given his packed schedule, the father of four seems genuinely taken aback by the suggestion that it could ever get overwhelming. “I never feel battered by it,” he says. “I wouldn’t have it any other way.” But if he were to walk away from movie making, what would he do? “I like the idea of being a sculptor. Just me alone, making somethingthat solitary existence.” At last, the buried wish for a respite
from life’s mayhem! But no: “And then you come out,” he adds, “and you’re back into the house with all the kids. That would be perfect.”
