Seed A Dream with Trickle Up and Maggie Gyllenhaal - submitted by Katherine
Maggie Gyllenhaal is the face of a really great campaign I just read
about in Lucky magazine and In Style, who are both featuring the story.
She teamed up with an organization called Trickle Up, an organization that gives
seed grants to people (mostly women) living under $1 a day in the
developing world- Latin America, Africa, and India.
They have this cool campaign going on right now where you donate $100
(which goes to an entrepreneur) and you get a really beautiful
necklace made by TenThousandThings, apparently Maggie chose the
designer and everything.
I just ordered a few for Christmas and I thought that of your website,
that maybe if you got it out there, people would order them for the
holidays. It would help a lot more people in the world than I can alone!
Their website is TrickleUp.org and there is a really beautiful video that
Maggie narrated on youtube
