Charlize doesn’t like being in the public eye at all.

Crazy, isn’t it, that it’s in the public eye where she makes her living. Not to mention a mountain of cold, hard cash that flows her way whenever she makes a movie or receives royalty checks for the movies she’s already made when they’re played over the airwaves.

She recently spoke out about her fame, saying, “I don’t like celebrity. I don’t like this whole culture that we’re living in now, and I don’t like this casual attitude that if you decide to be an actor then your life is up for grabs. It’s just not nice to go and get your groceries and have seven cars following you. I think I am becoming a little bit more closed off because of it.”

Aww, poor thing.

She obviously doesn’t realize that because she has celebrity attached to her name, the ones who gave it to her are all the little people who love to pick up those magazines and tabloids. The ones who buy expensive movie tickets to see her on the big screen. The ones who buy those DVDs with her name on them in the stores.

If she dislikes her own celebrity so much, I say, get off the red carpet, Charlize, and take a job at Walmart. Run the register at Blockbuster. Heck, stand behind the counter at the Department of Motor Vehicles.We will forget about you and you won’t have to worry about those millions rolling into your bank account any longer.
