A source close to Owen Wilson told the National Enquirer (grain of salt please) that the August 26 suicide attempt was actually the third time the star has tried to kill himself.
Wilson has reportedly been under constant supervision since returning home from a week long stay at Cedars-Sinai medical center after slitting his wrists. Luke Wilson, Owen’s younger brother, found the actor in his home, bloody and dazed, and called for an ambulance, fortunately saving his life.
The source added that it wasn’t the break up of Owen’s relationship with Kate Hudson which pushed him over the edge, but guilt over failing to develop work for a friend’s movie project.
