Needed: A Celebrity to Promote Home Improvements

This caught my attention today - this is a Home Improvement website that is looking for suggestions of potential celebrities to promote products like: Sunrooms, replacement windows, bedroom furniture, garden gear etc.

I bet we could come up with a few suggestions of our own - they are suggesting Paris Hilton to promote bedroom furniture - but I was thinking more like her promoting kitchen equipment — (don’t ask why)

So come on - what are your suggestions - they say they will arrange a cool prize for the best entry. (Don’t you hate it when they don’t say what)

My other suggestion: Ty Pennington - the coolest Carpenter on TV

Ty Pennington has certainly carved out a niche for himself as the lovable, off-the-wall, hunk-of-a-carpenter and home design guru

They also do a nice review of Celebrity Endorsements Gone Wrong such as the relationship between O.J Simpson and Hertz

O.J. Simpson appeared prominently in ads for the company for years. In one spot he leapt over counters running through an airport terminal. A woman yelled, “Go O.J. Go!” The relationship with Hertz and Simpson ended in late 1992 when reports of domestic abuse surfaced.
