Am I the only one who finds the Joel Madden / Nicole Richie relationship a bit strange? He’s the tattooed front man of pop-punk band Good Charlotte and I’d expect him to hook up with a rock chick like Juliet Lewis or Kirsten Dunst not a neurotic, high maintenance beanpole like Nicole.
As for poor little rich girl, Nicole – I see her with someone like… um… Give me a moment, I’ll think of someone.

Idi Amin = evil
A son of one of history’s most violent dictators, Idi Amin has been jailed for the brutal murder of 18 year old student. Faisal Wangita, 25, one of Amin’s forty children, was part of a gang who attacked Mahir Osman on one of London’s busiest streets, Camden High Street in January last year. According to police, ‘it was a premeditated attack using a level of violence rarely seen’. Wangita who came to Britain as a child, has a string of convictions for possessing an offensive weapon, fraud, threatening behaviour and theft. Osman’s family describes him as ‘a good boy’.
Amin who called himself “His Excellency President for Life Field Marshal Al Hadji Dr Idi Amin, VC, DSO, MC, King of Scotland, Lord of All the Beasts of the Earth and Fishes of the Sea and Conqueror of the British Empire in Africa in General and Uganda in Particular” was responsible for ordering the deaths of between 300,000 and 500,000 people whilst he was in power. He was the subject of the film, ‘The Last King of Scotland” starring Forest Whitaker.
Why Wangita was not deported from Britain before this happened is beyond me. Wrong on so many levels.

Sean Penn, 46, actor and director recently met Hugo Chavez, president of Venezuela to discuss the war in Iraq. Penn, who was briefly married to Madonna and charged with domestic violence during their marriage, applauded and nodded as Chavez slated the American government and demanded an American withdrawal from Iraq. Venezuelans in exile from the Chavez government were angered by Penn’s visit saying that he was being used.
Whilst I can understand Sean Penn’s motives, I’m not sure that linking himself to a totalitarian government which has been accused of human rights abuses will do his cause any good.
