Barbra Streisand has shocked hotel staff with her outlandish demands as she continues her European tour. These include;
Peach coloured toilet roll to match her complexion.
Rose petals in the toilet bowl.
One hundred and twenty designer towels in peach.
Ten designer floor lamps.
Security staff to wear ‘neat dark sneakers’ and use metal detectors.
Staff not to talk to her unless specifically requested.
These demands are nothing, however compared to what she’s expected in the past. She once demanded staff at the MGM Grand Hotel in Las Vegas enter and leave her room backwards, offering by way of explanation, “I’m simple, complex, generous, selfish, unattractive, beautiful and driven”.
Sadly, in spite of Barbra’s belief that she is something quite special, her concerts have not lived up to expectations. An enquiry has been launched after her Castletown House show in Ireland descended into chaos. Fans who had paid up to £330 for front row seats, arrived to find that their seats had already been taken. Other fans had to miss up to half the concert due to traffic jams and inadequate facilities.
Italian consumer groups have also demanded an enquiry into the high ticket prices charged for her shows, stating quite rightly that Justin Timberlake and the Rolling Stones are bigger stars yet charge less for tickets. They also contend that the high prices discriminate against the young and less well off.
Her shows have been billed ‘the experience of a lifetime’ but it sounds like it’s an experience for all the wrong reasons.

Barbara probably has alot of expensive staff to keep fed, which explains her ticket prices. Could you imagine having to help her get dressed?
