Is Akon the nastiest man in music? On Sunday he was filmed throwing a 15 year old boy off stage and into the crowd at a gig in New York . The boy landed on a member of the audience who suffered an immediate headache and blurry vision and was later diagnosed with concussion. Unbelievably, Akon is protesting that he did nothing wrong, although The Poughkeepsie Journal is reporting that Akon’s lawyers have contacted the police who are investigating the incident and offered full co-operation.
In April he was criticised for simulating sex on stage with a 14 year old girl. The incident, which was filmed by his crew and later uploaded to the internet, led to Verizon Wireless withdrawing sponsorship from the Gwen Stefani tour, which Akon was due to support, because of massive public critisism.
The Senegalese American musician, whose real name is Aliaune Damala Bouga Time Puru Nacka Lu Lu Lu Badara Akon Thiam is a believer in polygamy and reportedly has three wives. He also owns a diamond mine in South Africa and has denied the existence of conflict diamonds - diamonds mined in war torn areas and the profits from which are used to prolong conflict - saying ”I don’t even believe in conflict diamonds. That’s just a movie. Think about it. Ain’t nobody thought about nothing about no conflict diamonds until the movie came out.”
What a horrible man.

Awww! leave akon alone. Y’all r still hatin on sucesful people, akon was just doin his thanggg with the 14/15 year old girl which he thought was 18+ and anyways she didn’t seem to be too phased by the whole thing until it was all up in the public eye! And with that guy being thrown in the crowd i think that was jokes!! what was he doing throwing something at akon?? & what was akon supose to do… stand there && take it. What he did was entertainment it’s just a shame that woman got hurt maybe she shud hav watched out.

I’m not ‘hating on’ Akon because he’s successful, I don’t like him because he’s a violent, misogynist man and an APPALLING role model. How can we expect our young people to shooting each other and beating each other up when people like Akon are held up as examples of how successful people behave? Throwing water bottles, coins etc. is the traditional way that music fans express their displeasure at the performance on stage. That boy had every right to throw something on stage if Akon’s performance wasn’t very good - Akon had no right to assault him. As for the young girl involved in the statuatory rape incident - whether she was enjoying it or not is irrelevant.

You are a hater what the hell he did one thing and you bring up his whole damn life story what the hell does it matter to you what he does with his diamond mine wtf? now how is THAT relevant? and how does Akon show that violence is right maybe if you listened to ONE of his songs and actually listened to the words and got past that its rap and a successful black man singing it!

Cathy, last I heard, Akon was asking you to buy his albums, not look up to him and emulate him, for crying out loud. If my kids shoot people, use drugs, or have sex with minors onstage, that is NOT Akon’s fault…it’s MINE.
Some famous athlete…Michael Jordan? Someone, said “I’m not a role model…raise your own damn kids!” Uh…YEAH. Try it.

First Akon is not a role model he is just some guy who wants you to buy his albums. Second who would be stupid enough to follow his foot steps- throw a 15 year old boy off a stage & hump a 14 year old girl is just gay.And Thirdly who cares??????????????????????????????????

I think both the girl and Akon did wrong. The club was for 18+. If you go to youtube and look at the videos, maybe they have been flagged or even the admins probably took the vids off, but if you can find pictures or anything, the girl has piercings, tattooes, and looks much much older. It wasn’t Akons fault. Practically, everybody in the club was supposed to be older. However, later I saw a live video of Akon humping the girl, and i was pretty shocked. It was scary. Then he just stood up and walked off into the backstage, everybody pointed out it was due to a boner. Lmao! Hahahah
Well, then check out other videos, he’s all about humping, Akon is a horny dude. Thats about it.
