As much as I heart Fergie,
Fergie’s “live” performance on “American Idol” last week wasn’t so live, according to sources in the audience. The “Glamorous” singer had to do 18 takes to get her taped segment right.
How the audience sat through 18 takes of Big Girls Don’t Cry I’m not sure - also did that little girl have to hold Fergie’s hand 18 times?
After seeing Fergie Ferg’s live performance of Glamorous on Popworld in March I can see why it could take the Black Eyed Pea a few dozen takes to get it wrong. I’m going to have that song it my head all day now.

I was in the audience when she was taping her performance. It only took her 3 tries….1 of which was due to sound issues. Amazingly she performed beautifully & I have new respect for Fergie after seeing the performance. She was very graceious, friendly & professional. Don’t know where your source got their info, but they are terribly wrong!!!
