Jessica Alba showed up to help host the Step Up Women’s Network toast last night at the Forbes Penthouse Suite at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in LA. In a recent issue of In Style Jessica talked about her involvement with the Step Up Women’s Network.
“The organization was started for women with cancer and grew from there. It’s run by women who put their energy twoard bettering the world, and it focuses on a wide range of causes from health issues (raising funds for cacer and heart disease research) to education (matching women with metors). They also encourage young women to take a stand on social issues. At one event some girls I’d worked with made me a thank-you card, each putting her own art on it expressions of who they are. Seeing them find their voices warms by heart”
Which is all very commendable, I love a charitable celeb but I’m not sure if it makes up for Jessica choosing to wear a seethrough wool crochet type poloneck with a tweed skirt to an even in the middle of a sunny LA April. Not clever and not cute.
