Disturbia tops this weekend’s US box office

After his father’s death, Kale (Shia LaBeouf) becomes sullen, withdrawn, and troubled - so much so that he finds himself under a court-ordered sentence of house arrest. His mother, Julie (Carrie-Anne Moss), works night and day to support herself and her son, only to be met with indifference and lethargy. The walls of his house begin to close in on Kale. He becomes a voyeur as his interests turn outside the windows of his suburban home towards those of his neighbors, one of which Kale begins to suspect is a serial killer. But, are his suspicions merely the product of cabin fever and his overactive imagination?

This is Shia LaBeouf’s break out role, the New York Daily News is touting him as the next John Cusack while the San Francisco Chronicle notes that he is “fast becoing the best young actor in Hollywood”.  Shia’s next big role will be in the much anticipated Michael’s Bay directed Transformers and has he has just this month being confirmed to appear as Harrison Ford’s son in the upcoming Indiana Jones IV which is finally scheduled to begin filming this June.

Besides that, Grindhouse is still tanking, despite Halle doing her best to promote A Perfect Stranger that’s kind of tanking, people are still going to see Are We Done Yet? (why?) and how exactly did Wildhogs end up grossing $152 million?

Shia is amazing. He’s like a chamelion, whatever role they give him he makes his own and just goes with it. I have like a fifth grade crush on him haha-and im 20. He’s just too handsome.
