The second round of Nicole Kidman pregnancy rumours are here.  First as I posted in late March, Woman’s Day claimed the exclusive news that newlywed Kidmam was pregnant and now the bastion of truth that is the News Of The World is also claiming the ‘exclusive’. 

Friends of the movie star have told us she is “over the moon” after learning this week she’s expecting a baby.  Nicole and husband Keith Urban, both 39, have been trying for a child since they married in June last year.  And now the pal has revealed: “They’ve managed it. They are both absolutely delighted. Little Urban Junior is on the way.” The thrilled mum-to-be got the happy news during an hour-long visit to the St John’s Health Centre in Santa Monica, California, where ex-Spice Girl Mel B gave birth to daughter Fortuna Daphne Bay.

Bewitched star Nicole was spotted going to collect a folder of test results from her personal physician on Wednesday. An onlooker said: “She was looking very anxious.” Just over an hour later she was making a mobile call to Keith to tell him the good news.  “It’s still early days, but the signs are good,” said the friend. “Nicole and Keith are both delighted and can’t wait to be a proper little family.” Nicole has already ordered a selection of baby gear including a £165 nappy bag from upmarket tots’ boutique Petit Tresor.

This is the most recent picture of Nicole taken at last week’s Kid’s Choice Awards, as you can see it’s pretty impossible to tell if she’s showing any baby bumpage but I wouldn’t hold my breath but if she is I hope she’ll come up with a better name than Mel B’s choice for her little girl - Fortuna Daphne Bay - which will inevitably lead to little Fortuna working as a low rent stripper in Vegas.

Nicole’s Australian publicist has called bullshit on my behalf.

Wendy Day, spoke out today against a report in the London-based tabloid newspaper News of the World that Kidman was pregnant, saying it was “100 per cent not true”. She said Kidman was excited about being home and making Baz Luhrmann’s new epic.  “She is about to get on a horse in the outback and breaking brumbies. I hardly think she will be able to do that if she is pregnant,” Ms Day said.

I had a feeling that there was a definite whiff of horse manure coming from that News of the World ‘Exlcusive’.
