Pete Doherty has been talking to The Mirror about the Youtube video of him and his supermodel girlfriend who has seen better days wasn’t uploaded by accident but on purpose.  The reason - to attract music industry interest

 “We’re writing songs together and trying to get signed.  People have been saying that Kate’s annoyed at the video being posted but she said I should do it.It takes a long time to get signed these days and we thought we would post stuff on my website to speed things up a bit.That clip is about a month old and I’ve got a few more to post online as well. I would have done it sooner but I’ve only just got the hang of the technology.”

This isn’t Kate’s first attempt at musical superstardom, she has previously appeared in music videos for Primal Scream, White Stripes and Marianne Faithfull.  She has also sung on a Primal Scream track - Some Velvet Morning and for Pete’s band, Babyshambles on La Belle Et La Bete.  The Croydon supermodal often apears on stage with Babyshambles to perform the latter track but fans aren’t exactly enthusiastic about her muscial abilities:

One fan who saw her sing at London’s Brixton’s Academy in February said: “She was more than a little out of tune and flat.  The crowd couldn’t be happier when it was just Pete on his own with the band.”
