I had no intention of posting anything about American Idol because if you’re a junkie there’s plenty of Idolcentric blogs to cater for your addiction but then I saw this.  You just know mentor Gwen wanted to put a hit out on him after this.  Michael K reported yesterday  that Gwen didn’t want him singing any No Doubt songs because she didn’t think he could pull it off.  I don’t think anyone was able to notice with the shaking of the hair, I was mesmerised.

Here’s what Randy, Paula and Simon thought:

• Randy said, “Dude, I’m speechless. Every time. It’s weird, you got the dog speechless. The hair is definitely interesting. I like the kinda mohawk look. At the end of the song, you sang that one long note at the end and you sang a little run. You actually can sing if you just put it out there.”
• Paula said, “If you had the gumption. If you had the ability to totally go for it, it would fit the wackiness of the fauxhawk. To watch you on stage and not go for it, we’re kinda like come on, you can do it.
• Simon said, “I presume there was no mirror in your dressing room tonight. I don’t think it matters anymore what we say. I genuinely don’t. You’re in your own universe and if people like you, then good luck
