Think of the most uncomfortable and awkward moment you could have as a young twenty something with your dad and then multiply it a 100 and feel for American Beauty’s Thora Birch.  The NY Post report today that Thora was filiming a sex scene with Dean Winters for her new film, “The Winter Of Frozen Dreams”.  On set, scenes of that nature are usually closed but her dad forced her way in and as the Post put it, “demanded to be present as his daughter and Winters simulated intercourse last week”. 

It was so wrong,” said one insider. “The director is saying, ‘Harder! Faster!’ and the father is giving Winters the thumbs up.”

Sources say her dad, Jack Birch literally kicked the door in, threatening to kill the assistant directors and pull Thora from the moview with 3 days of filming left if he wasn’t let watch.  The Post describe Jack Birch as Charles Manson looking in person, in a “full-length leather coat and wraparound sunglasses, even at night”

To make matters even more awkard the scene had to be shot FOURTEEN TIMES.  Such was the disturbing and peverse nature of the scene, one girl actually broke down crying on set.
