BRITNEY ENTERS REHAB 

Finally Britney’s camp have managed to convince her to try another much needed stint in rehab. Her Manager Larry Rudolph confirmed to People Magazine:

“Britney Spears has voluntarily checked herself into an undisclosed rehab facility today,” Rudolph says in a statement. “We ask that the media respect her privacy as well as those of her family and friends at this time.”
 

Last night speaking to E!’s pretty boy Ryan Seacrest, Rudolph said he had just spoken with Britney and she had told hi all she wants is time to rest, to get better and focus on her recovery.Britney is now holed up in Promises, a residential rehab centre in Malibu. Photos of a sombre looking Britney in a hot-pink tank top, smoking a cigarette, and without any wig strolling the grounds confirm this.

Promises is a top of the line rehab centre, located in the Santa Monica mountains. A typical stay is for 45 days, patients often share a room, attend group and individual therapy sessions and do chores around the centre and all this comes with a price tag of between $40,000 and $60,000.

Speaking to the New York Post on Monday, Richard Rogg the founder of Promises said Spear’s original 24 hour stint in the Crossroads facility in Antigua was an act of desperation:

“It usually happens when someone is coerced into being there, or they’re so drunk and loaded that they come into treatment - wake up, and they’re gone,” said Rogg.

Britney isn’t the first troubled celebrity to walk through the Promises door, previously, Ben Affleck, Robert Downey Jr, Matthew Perry, Charlie Sheen and Diana Ross are all previous clients.

So what pushed Brit to finally accept that she was in need of rehab? It seems a combination of her mum, dad, manager and ex husband and father of her children Kevin Federline all played their part.

• Britney’s relationship with her mother Lynn Spears has been in trouble for many months, her party lifestyle has distressed her mother no end. A source told US Magazine

“Her mom cries and begs Britney to calm down, but Britney just yells at her and tells her to mind her own business. Lynne was at a breaking point”    

• Britney’s father, Jamie Spears met his daughter for dinner at Stevie’s Creole Café in Encino on Sunday. He pleaded with her to enter treatment:

“Jamie just told Britney how much he loves her and that he wants her to get help, He told her that he’s afraid for her safety and that she needs to take a look at her life and make some major changes or everything is going to get worse. Britney listened to her father and nodded, but was very serious.”    

• OK! Magazine are claiming that it was a fight with Kevin that led Britney to shave her head in the 1^st place,

“They had a huge argument, Kevin threatened Britney that he was going to have people test her hair to find out exactly what she’s been up to. She was so scared. That was what made her have her head shaved.”

Anyone who has ever watched an episode of CSI knows that testing her hair could have ascertained whether she has been using drugs.

Britney’s friends say pressure from Federline forced her hand into going to rehab.

Meanwhile People reports that Kevin has cancelled his plans to attend the NBA All-Star weekend in Vegas to stay in LA to look after his babies, Sean Preston, 1 and James 5 months. A friend of Kevin says,
“Kevin is concerned for Britney and his children, Of course he’s concerned about her. He loves her. He’s always loved her – even after she started divorce proceedings.”
