Angelina Jolie’s mother, Marcheline Bertrand passed away yesterday afternoon at Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre. Marcheline had battled cancer for 7 and ½ years. According to imdb.com she was only 56 years of age. Angelina, her brother James Haven and Brad were all at the hospital on Sunday. Marcheline was an actress who starred in movies such as , Lookin’ To Get Out and The Man Who Loved Woman. She raised Angeline and James by herself after divorcing their father actor, Jon Voight when Angelina was a toddler.

The family have asked in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the Women’s Cancer Research Institute at Cedars-Sinai.
