TMZ are reporting today that singer Brandy was involved in a fatal accident on December 30 on the 405 Freeway in LA. Brandy was driving her 2006 Landowner at 65 mph and failed to notice that the cars in front of her had slowed. Brand’s car then struck a Toyata which cuased the Toyata to hit a 1989 Toyota and a 1988 Acura. The driver of the 2005 Toyota was taken to Holy Cross Hospital in a critical condition and died the next day. Awatef Aboudihaj was a 38 year old married mother of one. Brady was not injured.
Brandy was not arrested and there was no evidence of drugs or alcohol involved.
However in an exclusive interview with the man driving behind Brandy at the of the crash TMZ reveal that Brandy repeatedly blamed herself.
“She got upset, talking about how it was all her fault … she didn’t stop, kept saying how she hit the lady,”
“Brandy walked in front of traffic, crossing the lanes of speeding cars, then she did it again. People were honking at her to get out of the road. She was obviously disoriented and highly upset.”
Police are doing a mechanical investigation of the cars involved in the accident to determine if there was a malfunction.

Why does’t under the infulence of stupidity and incompetence carry the same penelty as drugs or alcohol.

I think Brandy does not deserve jail time for the accident… I do believe she should be held accountable for what she has done. But because she can admit that indeed it was her fault, and is apologetic shows that she isn’t using her celebrity status in her favor.

fuk you jim! many people get in accidents. isnt he people on cell phones while driving under the infulence of stupidity? you act like accidents dont happen.
