Clooney told reporters on December 7, 2006, in an interview on the private CNN-IBN Channel, that he would like to appear in India’s spectacular song-and-dance movies. Clooney is a fan of Bollywood, India’s Award-Winning Hindu Film Industry. He is also delighted with the way the Indian Film Industry has flourished over the years.
When asked about appearing in a Bollywood Film, he said. “I would love to.” Clooney concluded. “There is a small market in the States. It will be fun if it catches on because it is such a positive way of looking at filmmaking and I really love that. I truly think it’s fun.”
Clooney, 45, who is a favorite among India’s English speaking middle and upper classes, has been voted The Sexiest Man Alive in People Magazine for two years in a row as well as winning an Oscar for Best Supporting Actor for 2005’s “Syriana”.
Clooney recently visited The United Nations and express his concerns about the crisis in Darfur (Africa) with actor-friend, Don Cheadle (producer/actor in Academy-Award Winning film, “Crash”). Finally, George Clooney will star in the upcoming movie, “The Good German” which will be released later this month.
