Oscar-winning US actress Gwyneth Paltrow has said she believes that the Brits are more intelligent and civilised than Americans.
“I love the English lifestyle, it’s not as capitalistic as America. People don’t talk about work and money, they talk about interesting things at dinner,” she told “NS,” the weekend magazine supplement of daily Portuguese newspaper Diario de Noticias on Saturday.
“I like living here because I don’t fit into the bad side of American psychology. The British are much more intelligent and civilized than the Americans,” the 34-year-old added.
Paltrow has lived in London for the last number of years with Coldplay frontman Chris Martin. The pair married in 2003.
She also revealed that having her friend Madonna nearby is also a big plus to living in London.
“She’s like an older sister. Everything I have gone through, she went through ten times worse and ten times longer. She gives me good advice about how to say no and take care of myself,” said Paltrow

Paltrow is just another Hollywood secular Jew, her kids & husband don’t take public transportation in London, or any where else,& having Madonna as a friend tells U where she’s coming from, It’s always about them! No more of her movies 4 me, just like no more Dixie Chics

EXACTLY GWYNETH!!!!!!!!! Brits are far more civilized than angry Americans and although they can “try and be bitter” over their issues, THERE STILL MORE EDUCATED, MORE INTELLIGENT, and far more fun. Dinner chat isn’t about jobs and rubbish, its more about Van Morrison, wine, or just everything except American issues.! Bush screwed Americans and their suffering big time right now and far more by 2010. They’re not smart enough to ride a train, bus and tubes. Because USA wasn’t smart enough to build them.
California should be called Mexical because 50% are now illegals AND NO ONE can fix this.
I don’t love America…I prefer the wet and cold UK
